A WOMAN was left with multiple fractures after being hit by a car last night.
The accident happened in Brittany Road, Hove, at about 10.40pm last night.
The pedestrian, a 39-year-old local woman, was serious injured and rushed by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where she has been detained for treatment.
The car was a red Mini One, driven by a 61-year-old woman from Shoreham, who was unhurt.
A Twitter user claimed a "member of the public lifted the car off the trapped pedestrian".
