A MAN claiming to have a gun has held up a supermarket.
He entered the Co-Op supermarket in Test Road, Lancing, at 8.10pm on Monday (October 24) and demanded cash from an employee.
He told the member of staff he had a gun and ran off with a quantity of coins, a Sussex Police spokeswoman said.
The suspect was tanned, in his late 20s or early 30s, around 6' tall and of slim build.
He was wearing a black woolly hat, black trousers, navy blue coat, black hoody and black shoes. He had a grey scarf around his face and was carrying a blue Co-Op bag.
It is believed he ran off in the direction of the A27.
