A CANDLELIT chapel provided the perfect setting for Hurst College's pre-prep school nativity play.
The chapel at the school in Hurstpierpoint was filled with the sound of children’s voices as they retold the story of the First Christmas through song and dance.
Every child played an important role which included a scene of shepherds with their flock of sheep, huddling for warmth around the dancing, flickering flames of the camp fire.
A school spokeswoman said: "The pace, energy and enthusiasm of the children’s performance was matched by the confidence of the narrators who cleverly linked the songs and actions with the story.
"The congregation of parents, extended family and teachers were extremely proud of all the children and their wonderful festive performance."
