A disabled man was rescued from a kitchen fire earlier today after his father called 999.
Three fire crews were sent to the end-of-terrace house in Swallow Road, Crawley, at about 4.20pm today.
Firefighters wearing breathing gear managed to grab the man and bring him to safety while his kitchen was alight.
A hose was used to tackle the blaze on the ground floor.
A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "He was unable to leave the house until we got there. His father called 999."
It is not clear how the fire started. Crews left just before 5pm.
