WITH extortionate parking charges, high rent and a miserable rail service, living in Brighton and Hove can often be a bind.
But these beautiful photographs taken by Gareth Fuller are a reminder of how lucky we are to live in this part of the world.
Mr Fuller, who works for the Press Association, was on the seafront at sunset to capture the magnificent reds and oranges behind the haunting remains of the West Pier.
In another of his shots you can make out the resident starlings as they perform their daily murmuration.
The beautiful colours were on show thanks to a clear sky on Tuesday evening, which also resulted in subzero temperatures overnight.
It was much the same scene last night with temperatures also hovering above zero.
However, the mercury is set to rise over the next few days with highs of 7C and lows of 5C today and highs of 10C and lows of 7C on Friday.
The weekend is set to be dry, cloudy and mild with daytimes temperatures around 9C.
