SEVENTIES pop icon Donny Osmond tweeted his love for Brighton’s seafront during a visit to the city on Tuesday.

The Puppy Love crooner strolled near Brighton Palace Pier in the sunshine ahead of his concert at the Brighton Centre.

Videoing himself on the pavement in King’s Road, the 59-year-old American told his 170,000 followers: “I’m in a place in the south side of England called Brighton. It is so beautiful here today.”

The star is on a UK tour celebrating 50 years in show business.

He tweeted: “We have a concert here today at Brighton Centre. It is going to be wild.

“Anyway had to show you this. It is so beautiful in Brighton.”

Donny has sold more than 100 million records, had three UK number ones, and performed in front of millions of fans during a career spanning five decades.

He first gained fame in the mid-1960s with his elder brothers as the Osmonds.

He went on to become a teen idol in the 1970s with solo hits such as Puppy Love.

Following the concert yesterday he tweeted: “Thank you Brighton. What an amazing crowd.”
