A MULTI-ACTIVITY play area is coming soon to a primary school with the aid of £12,000 in funding from Tesco.
Bonners CE Primary School in Maresfield has won the funding from the Bags Of Help initiative after millions of shoppers voted in stores up and down the country last November.
Redevelopment of a redundant area of rough ground at the school will provide a multi activity active play area to engage pupils in healthy outdoor activities and exercise and help them grow and flourish in a safe environment.
Bonners school invited Matt Ayling and Julie Foley, the manager and community champion at Tesco’s Uckfield branch, to a cheque presentation assembly at the school in London Road.
Teachers and pupils welcomed the pair.
The Bags of Help scheme run by the supermarket giant makes grants available to improve green spaces that do not charge for access.
