A DRIVER fled after crashing his car into a garden wall.
Police are hunting for the man – described as white, in his mid-twenties and wearing a light grey anorak – after the accident in Boundstone Lane, Lancing, on Sunday.
The silver Nissan Primera left the road in Crabtree Lane at about 6.15am after failing to negotiate the left-hand turn in Boundstone Lane, and crashed into the garden of a house.
It is not thought any passengers were in the car but on Sunday police said a woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Police have so far been unable to confirm how the woman came to be involved with the crash.
PC Jon Bennion-Jones, of the Surrey and Sussex Road Policing Unit, urged anyone who saw the car in the minutes leading up to the crash to call police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting 291 of 19/03.
