Tributes have been paid to Debbie Masters who was critically injured after being involved in the crash while she was walking along a street in Battle on Sunday.
In a statement relatives said: “Debbie was a loving wife and mother, who was adored by her husband, and will be missed forever, no matter what."
Sergeant Peter Verney, of the Sussex Police roads policing unit, said: "Our thoughts are very much with the family at what is a very difficult time."
The 37-year-old, of Coronation Green, Battle, died in hospital after the incident involving a Volkswagen Beetle at 1.55pm in Upper Lake.
Police examining the circumstances of the crash are investigating reports the 34-year-old driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.
