AN MEP has added his voice to growing outrage over plans to sell off a famous beauty spot.
Green MEP Keith Taylor, said the suggestion from East Sussex County Council to allow private sale of the Seven Sisters County Park, as revealed by The Argus, was an “outrageous breach of trust”.
He said: “It beggars belief that it is the Conservatives, who opposed the downland sales in Eastbourne and accused the local council of failing to listen to the people, who now plan to do much the same at a county council level.
“Ultimately, of course, this is about austerity and ideologically driven cuts by a central Government intent on ravaging this country.”
