THE future of the air ambulance has been secured after the signing of a new lease.
The Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance will remain at Redhill Aerodrome in Surrey.
Fears were raised when it was announced that development at Redhill could mean the ambulance would have to move.
But yesterday it was announced that a new 25-year lease has been signed for the air ambulance to remain at the Surrey aerodrome.
The ambulance trust said Redhill was at the “heart of the organisation” and the decision to remain there was essential.
