NEW playground equipment suitable for all children has been officially opened.
A new wheelchair-accessible swing, one of the first in the country, and a trampoline are among the improvements brought by Peacehaven Town Council to The Dell Park as part of the town’s centenary celebrations.
The authority has also invested in a storytelling chair for children and parents to use, celebrating the area’s ancient history of Bronze Age warriors and Iron Age settlements.
Around 80 people turned out to help Peacehaven Mayor Jean Farmiloe open the accessible area in the park on Thursday.
Town manager Claire Lacey said: “It is wonderful to see that another of our parks and gardens, which Peacehaven Town is famous for, now has access for all residents regardless of ability and mobility.”
