HAIRDRESSING and make-up students impressed an audience at a recent Burtonesque hair and make-up show.
Models from Brighton Metropolitan College, formerly City College Brighton and Hove, sported eccentric hairstyles and make-up based on film director and animator Tim Burton.
The show, which took place at the college’s Pelham Street main hall, featured more than 120 students.
Judges included Alice Robson, director of Eden Hair and Beauty in Church Street, Brighton, and Daniel Lustig, co-owner of Lustig and Webb in Hurstpierpoint.
Best in show prizewinner across all categories was Jade Lacey, the first time a Level 2, 16 to 18 year old student, has won over more experienced Level 3 students.
In the Level 2 category, first prize went to day release hairdressing apprentice Kelly Hancock.
A total of £1,200 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.
