A NEW defibrillator has been presented to Paradise Park in Newhaven.
East Sussex Deputy Lieutenant Juliet Smith and Newhaven Mayor Steve Saunders attended the handover.
They presented Mark Gilbert, the sales director of Tates Garden Centres, and Sharon Saunders with the life-saving equipment.
The unit was purchased from the proceeds of a recent fundraising event organised by the Mayor .
This equipment is installed at the Avis Road tourist attraction and garden centre.
Mark Gilbert said: “We are delighted to receive first responder item which is a great addition to our first aid facilities.
“It is vital that these are available when required by placing them at venues where large numbers gather.
“Rest assured it will always be ready for use.”
