SATURDAY night’s terror attack on London Bridge was truly horrific.

A normal evening out for thousands in the capital having a fun time all ruined in a matter of seconds.

Innocent people driven into at speed by a van on the bridge.

Others out with family and friends in Borough Market stabbed at random.

Nobody can fail to be appalled by this and with this being the third attack in a matter of months we are living in shocking times.

We were at Gatwick Airport at 5am yesterday to see for ourselves the reality of armed police once again.

Gatwick sadly must be considered a high risk but it goes without saying that we all need to be alert.

Sussex Police will be assessing the high risk areas as we write this but we all have a duty to be vigilant however small or insignificant our information may seen.

One man who called us yesterday said he called police at 4pm on Saturday afternoon when he says he saw four people – he thinks they were Muslims – setting up a stall near to the pier selling watermelons.

He believes they had no licence to sell the melons but he also said they had knives with them as well.

A group of men just trying to make some money, or something more sinister?

It is sometimes difficult for us to make a judgement so if you are unsure tell the police and allow them to act accordingly.

We must carry on living our normal lives. But we also have to accept that such terrible and cowardly incidents are happening more and more.
