THOUSANDS of people packed on to the beach yesterday as temperatures soared.
The warm weather attracted a swarming crowd of visitors to the seafront.
Temperatures hit highs of 24 degrees.
The beach was dotted with sunbathers, families having picnics and friends meeting for barbecues.
Many braved the sea which was relatively calm because of only a gentle breeze.
The perfect bank holiday weather is set to continue with temperatures expected to be consistently hot and potentially hitting 28 degrees. After weeks of cooler weather, rain, wind and storms, the tables could be turning as the rest of the week is anticipated to remain warm and sunny.
