VISITORS to a Newhaven garden centre have been able to capture the last warm harvest days of summer through a vivid interpretation of Cider with Rosie created by talented members of Seaford Evening Flower Club.

The 1959 memoir of Laurie Lee’s childhood in a Cotswold village has been brought to life at Paradise Park in Newhaven.

Mark Curtis the plant manager at the Avis Road store, said: “”Our thanks to Jo, Mary, Hilary, Jane and Marian from the club, who have kindly shown their skills in the dramatic display which has been appreciated by many visiting us.”

There’s a chance to own one of the arrangements which will be raffled at the garden centre’s charity coffee morning on October 13 with all monies in aid of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

The Seaford club meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7pm at St. Luke’s Church and welcomes new members.
