A MAN was assaulted and left with a black eye and chipped tooth.
The 26-year-old victim was walking home when the assault took place around 2pm on Saturday in Amherst Road, Hastings.
He was punched in the nose and suffered a black eye and a chipped tooth during the attack.
Police are know searching for the suspect, who is described as a white man, aged between 25 and 35, 5ft 7in, of slim wiry build with dark short cropped hair.
He was wearing a light coloured loose fitted casual shirt at the time of the assault.
The victim said there were two women nearby at the time of the assault and another woman gave him a lift after the incident to London Road, Hastings.
Police are keen to hear from the female driver.
