A TEENAGE boy and man have been charged after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the stomach.
The incident took place in Old Church Road, near the junction of Battle Road, St Leonards, at 6.50pm on Saturday.
The victim was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, in a critical condition.
He underwent major surgery on Sunday morning and is expected to require further surgery in due course.
Jack Cunnion, 18, a scaffolder, of Essex Road, St Leonards, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court today.
A 16-year-old boy, from St Leonards, was also charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court today.
They were both remanded in custody to appear at crown court on December 18.
