A 67-YEAR-OLD man is in hospital with a bleed to his brain after he was brutally attacked by two men.
He also suffered extensive swelling to the face from the assault in Littlehampton on Christmas Eve.
The thugs punched him several times in the head outside the Coco Lounge nightclub in Clifton Road, and emergency services were called to the scene at 7.35pm.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses.
Detective Constable Pete Parkinson, of Sussex Police, said: "The victim has extensive swelling to his face and head and remains in hospital with a bleed on the brain.
"We are appealing to anyone who was in Littlehampton on Christmas Eve and may be able to help."
Anyone with information about the attack should call police on 101 quoting serial 969 of 24/12.
