A MAN has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a train.
British Transport Police were called to Durrington Station in Worthing after reports that a man had been struck by a train at the station.
Paramedics and officers arrived at the scene shortly after 2pm.
Network Rail sent an Incident Response Unit to the station.
The man has now been taken to hospital with "serious but not life threatening" injuries, according to a BTP spokesman.
Officers are still present at the station.
