A CAR overturned on its roof on busy major road, before another car crashed into it.
Police were alerted around 11am to crash on the A23 northbound at Handcross Hill between the B2110 Horsham Road and Brighton Road.
A car overturned on its roof, before being struck by another vehicle.
The A23 northbound was closed as emergency services attended the scene.
A Sussex Police spokesman said there were no serious injuries.
Sussex Police's PC Pete May tweeted: "Both of occupants of one vehicle are in custody.
"Did you see what happened? If so please call Sussex Police on 101 and quote reference 361 of 20/1/18."
