PART of a main road has been closed after a large tree fell - blocking it in both directions.
The A259 Old London Road in Hastings has been closed for the day between Ashburnham Road and Priory Road, near the Texaco petrol station, following the incident.
Sussex Police were called about the tree falling at around 1.05am this morning.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the road would be closed today.
Highways England has been contacted for more information.
No injuries have been reported.
