A BUILDER has been airlifted to hospital after plunging from a building site.
The man was working at the Shoreham Cement Works site in Upper Beeding this afternoon when he fell "about 30ft".
An Argus source said he was told by one of the man's colleagues.
He said: "A builder fell through the roof of the cement works earlier today.
"He is still alive, but fell about 30ft.
"He lost his footing on the boards."
The site is owned by Dudman Group.
When The Argus contacted the company for a comment, a spokesman said: "We wouldn't give any comment out to press I'm afraid."
He then put the phone down.
An air ambulance spokesman said: "At about 1.34pm today, the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was called to an accidental injury at Shoreham."
