THIS fantastic shot of the waves crashing against the harbour wall at Newhaven was the winner of The Argus’s monthly competition for January.
Argus picture editor Allan Hutchings loved the way Daren Trafford captured the drama of the stormy sea and he will be the recipient of this month’s £50 prize.
For February our competition theme will be piers and other architectural structures.
The Argus Camera Club is for all amateur photographers who want to share their pictures of Brighton, Hove and Sussex.
As the community builds, we hope members will offer one another tips and advice, join our projects and enter competitions.
Picture editor Allan Hutchings said: “The standard of entries is very high and we are grateful to receive them all.
“I enjoy looking through them and seeing what subjects are chosen for the photographs.
“There is so much opportunity to choose some great subjects, given what an attractive place Sussex is.
“If you haven’t yet joined us, please do.”
