A MAN has been arrested after windows at a property were smashed with a baseball bat.
The incident happened on Saturday at about 6.30pm in Old Shoreham Road, Shoreham, on the corner of Freehold Street.
Sussex Police said the suspect damaged the windows of a ground floor flat and then made off from the scene.
He is described as white, aged in his late forties and bald.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The location of the incident is close to a set of traffic lights and there may have been witnesses sitting in their vehicles queueing in traffic there.
“We want to hear from anyone who maybe able to help us with our investigation.”
Anyone who saw the incident can call police on 101.
A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and released under investigation.
