TWO television gardening personalities are to join forces with a famous charity fundraiser this summer.
Gardener and trail organiser Geoff Stonebanks from Seaford is hoping to top the £100,000 target in 2018.
His garden Driftwood has become famous nationally and attracts visitors from around the country.
Now he has revealed that Juliet Sargeant and Jim Buttress will both be helping out this year.
Geoff said: “I am over the moon. It is great news that these two TV stars will be joining us this year. I’m very excited.”
Juliet is a TV presenter, garden designer and Chelsea Gold medallist as well as a judge on Channel 4’s Village of the Year.
She has agreed to officially open the Mayor’s Trail trail at Driftwood on June 10.
Meanwhile, on July 28 “the people’s gardener” Jim Buttress will attend the Macmillan Garden trail.
Geoff said: “Jim is a renowned horticulturalist who has spent a lifetime in the industry.
“His book The People’s Gardener is now on sale and is rapidly becoming a best seller.”
Mr Buttress starred in the TV documentary The World Garden at Lullingstone and more recently as the popular judge in The Big Allotment Challenge.
He presents radio programmes, acting as a judge for the RHS and speaking at a variety of public and corporate events.
Driftwood has appeared on BBC2 Gardeners’ World and was a recent finalist in Gardeners’ World Magazine Garden of the Year.

Last month Mr Stonebanks was invited to Buckingham Palace to meet HRH The Prince of Wales.
He attended a reception organised by Macmillan Cancer Support, for which Prince Charles is a patron.
The event recognised and thanked exceptional volunteers for their life-changing contributions to helping people living with cancer.
Mr Stonebanks raises money for The Macmillan Horizon Centre in Brighton.
