WE’VE all walked down Gardner Street in the North Laine and enjoyed a look up at the stripey legs above us, like a relaxing cabaret performer on the end of the stage.

And we love the way they were captured by Daniel Yates for our monthly Argus Camera Club competition.

He is our £50 winner for February after we challenged members to get their best shots of piers and other architectural

Argus picture editor Allan Hutchings said: “ I find it entertaining.

“It’s a great use of black and white and the contrast of the vertical lines brings the image to life.”

The entries for our February competition included lots of amazing shots of Brighton Palace Pier, Worthing Pier and the West Pier.

For March we want members to send in their pictures of the first signs of Spring, for a chance to claim the £50 winner's prize.

The Argus Camera Club is for all amateur photographers who want to share their pictures of Brighton, Hove and Sussex.

As the community continues to build, we hope members will share tips and advice, join our projects and enter competitions.
