AN international business advisor is targeting his home county of Sussex with a series of engagements and seminars.

This follows a grand tour of Asia and the Middle East, encouraging bankers to think like entrepreneurs.

Former global investment banker and best-selling author David Mellor also lectures at London’s CASS Business School as an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow.

,He said the Sussex business community was as ‘talented, diverse and vibrant’ as any he’d encountered but has often been overshadowed by other areas of the UK.

He said: “Ultimately, the key ingredients to business success are the same, whether you are in Burgess Hill or Kuala Lumpur.

“Having spent most of my 30-year career talking to businesses in London and other leading commercial capitals of the world, I’d now like to share some of what I’ve learned with companies on my doorstep.

“They have just as much potential and get-up-and-go.”

David, who is a Freeman of the London Guild of Entrepreneurs, has already delivered two seminars on effective selling, held at the Hickstead Hotel in Bolney.

Last November, he also addressed the Gatwick Diamond Business Association.

He said: “GDB is home to a lot of fantastic companies – from SMEs all the way to international corporations.

“I particularly enjoy meeting them after these events and what emerges most strongly is the continuity between businesses wherever they are in the world.”

With a follow-up seminar scheduled at the Hickstead Hotel later this month, David s also preparing to release ‘David’s Quirky List of Lists’,

This is an eBook download based on his trilogy Crew To Captain series of self-help books for aspiring entrepreneurs.
