A DRIVER had to be cut free from their car after a crash near a beauty spot.
Two vehicles collided on the A281 at Poynings, near Devil's Dyke just before 1pm with one driver taken to hospital by ambulance.
The road is currently closed in both directions between the B2117 and A23.
It is not currently know how serious the driver's injuries are.
A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue service said: "We were called at 12.52 to a road traffic collision on the A281 at Poynings. Crews from Henfield, Worthing and Hove attended.
"It was confirmed two vehicles had been involved in the collision.
"One person had to be released from their vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment.
"They were left in the care of the ambulance service."
