What is your favourite place in Sussex?
The Bevy. Every time I go in, I come out happier. If anyone wants to see the difference some dedicated people can make via a community pub, then pop along, there is always something happening, like our community business weekend events on Saturday.
What do you most love about living in Sussex?
Living in a brilliant, cosmopolitan and exciting city and being sandwiched between the sea and the Downs.
What advice would you give your 12-year-old self?
Don’t take on one everyone else’s problems, you have enough of your own.
What is your most valued possession?
My wheelchair, I always hate the expression wheelchair bound, it’s an essential tool for giving me freedom and independence.
What is your biggest regret?
Not campaigning hard enough against Brexit. I assumed it could never happen. Waking up the next morning was a real shock.
What is your biggest fear?
Something horrible happening to my family.
What is your proudest achievement?
My children.
Which five people (dead or alive) would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?
Mae West
Charlie Brooker
Justine Frischmann
Llywelyn ap Gruffudd (the last real Prince of Wales)
Charles Dickens.
