What is your favourite place in Sussex?

The South Downs. Whenever I can, I walk up to the downs to see the amazing views over Sussex, I love the rolling hills and the sea is never far away.

What do you most love about living in Sussex?

Difference is celebrated. Everyone is accepted. Compassion for those less fortunate is forever growing. Also beards, so many great beards.

What advice would you give your 12-year-old self?

Be comfortable with who you are.

What is your most valued possession?

My wellies, bought in an emergency Glastonbury 2005 moment and have journeyed with me far and wide ever since.

What is your biggest regret?

Getting a further haircut in 2004 when I was concerned I looked like Chesney Hawkes. I should have stuck with Chesney.

What is your biggest fear?

Having nothing to do.

What is your proudest achievement?

I work for Justlife and through them I have recently set up a studio for people experiencing homelessness. They are an inspirational bunch.

Which five people (dead or alive) would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?

Maya Angelou, a legend.

My dad because I miss him.

David Attenborough, a genius.

Peter Kay as he reminds me of my northern upbringing.

Sarah Lund from The Killing as she has amazing jumpers and I’d quite like the idea of being Scandinavian.
