THE Amex is hosting a major event for the construction industry on Thursday.

National supply chain management company Constructionline is inviting subcontractors to discuss upcoming projects with some of the South’s most prominent large building contractors and public-sector authorities.

The meet the buyer event is being staged between 8.30am and 2pm.

It will give construction SMEs the opportunity to meet leading construction firms face to face, and secure meetings in one a day.

Andrew Lowe, Constructionline sales director, said: “We are very much looking forward to meeting new businesses in Brighton.

The event will feature exhibits from The National Federation of Builders, London Procurement Partnership, Department for International Trade and Westridge Construction.

Also exhibiting will be Bouygues (UK) Ltd, Fortem, Acclaim, McGoff Construction Ltd, Plastic Surgeon, Baxall Construction Ltd, ServiceMaster and Imagile.
