IT IS time for the council to have a rethink about the rallies so often held in Brighton.

The mini rally on Sunday, May 20 was a colossal nuisance not only to the residents of property along the A259 but for the whole area.

There was total chaos for traffic heading into Brighton from the east which went on for most of the day.

The minis were chasing round the side streets, even going up No Entry streets in their effort to turn round and head out on to the A259 again.

The build-up of fumes, the engine revving and the general noise was unbearable.

These rallies should be curtailed and not allowed to disrupt the lives of residents.

Added to the problem was the traffic trying to get off the Marina, many people having attended the car boot sale.

I urge other residents to write to the council complaining because we can do something about it if we raise our voices.
