AGGRESSIVE beggars have been targeted by police after concerns were raised by councillors.
Residents reported problems in the Patcham and Hollingbury areas of Brighton, and Councillor Lee Wares asked officers to investigate.
He said: “It is important that individuals are given as much help and support as possible and hopefully these interventions will prove successful. At the same time, it isn’t acceptable for the public to be subjected to aggressive begging.”
