A ROAD in St Leonards has been closed off after 'potentially explosive materials' were found in a house this evening.
The house, in Bexhill Road, has been cordoned off as police carry out investigations.
The bomb squad is at the scene.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Police have cordoned off an area of Bexhill Road, St Leonards after potentially explosive materials were found in an occupied house at 2.34pm on Friday, June 15.
"An explosive ordnance unit has been sent to the scene and there is a cordon in the area. No further details are available at this time."
