A passenger had to be cut free from the wreckage of a car crash by firefighters in Worthing.
Crews were called to St George’s Road shortly after 8am today following the collision between a Ford Fiesta and a Volkswagen van.
Paramedics and police were also called to the crash which left the trapped passenger in the Fiesta with spinal injuries.
He was taken to hospital after the fire crews used cutting equipment to free him.
A woman driving the Fiesta and a man driving the van are believed to have suffered only minor injuries and did not need hospital treatment.
The scene cleared an hour later.
