A pensioner was pickpocketed in a “cowardly” attack after withdrawing money from a cash machine.
Officers were called to Montague Street in Worthing after a man in his 80s said he was approached by a stranger.
The suspect approached the victim and snatched £200 from his pocket before running off.
Now police have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident at 4pm on Saturday, June 9.
PC David Hedgecock said: “This was a cowardly attack on a vulnerable person who is, understandably, very upset and distressed by what occurred.
“If you recognise this man or witnessed the incident, please report this information to us.”
