POLICE are hunting a wanted man suspected of involvement in a series of assaults.

Joseph Rutigliano is believed to have been involved in attacks on people in Brighton city centre in the early hours of June 26.

The 19-year-old is also wanted for recall to prison, police said.

Rutigliano is white, 5ft 9in, slim, with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

He was released from Rochester Prison in Kent on March 28, part-way through a three-year sentence for attempted robbery.

Rutigliano is known to have lived at addresses in Horsham.

However, he is also known to frequent in Brighton, police said.

Sussex Police have said enquiries into the suspected Brighton assaults are ongoing.

A force statement said: “A 21-year old man has been interviewed under caution by appointment and arrangements are being made to interview a third man who has has been identified in relation to that investigation.”
