A CHARITY is launching a new online “sponsor our services” scheme.
Guild Care is based in Worthing and provides help to people aged between five and 105 living in an area from Fishersgate to Littlehampton.
It was launched in 1933 and today it offers more than 30 services to more than 3,000 people each year.
This scheme is a new way to support service users by enabling people to choose a monthly donation of their choice.
Suzanne Millard, Guild Care chief executive, said: “As a charity we simply can’t continue without the generosity of our community and by choosing to sponsor our services with a monthly donation, you will be helping to make a real difference to local lives.
“We aim to reduce loneliness and isolation through our day services, providing people aged over 50 with a place to socialise and make friends.
“They can take part in activities, fitness classes, outings and enjoy entertainment.
“Caring for a loved one can be demanding and, for a carer, finding time for themselves isn’t always easy.
“Our respite services for children and adults with disabilities, additional needs or dementia provide that important break.
“Very often, people wish to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
“Our home care and outreach services are here to help this happen.
“When it’s time to think about leaving home, we have three comfortable care homes to choose from offering specialist dementia care, nursing or simply residential services.
“We like to think that our facilities provide something for everyone.”
The charity is now urging people to support them.
Suzanne said: “By choosing to sponsor our services with a monthly donation, you will be helping to make a difference to the local community.”
