RECKLESS trespassers broke into the pier at night and scaled the rollercoaster.

The group of four men clambered over the barrier of Brighton Palace Pier, before walking along the roof to avoid being seen by security.

The would-be daredevils are then seen climbing the rollercoaster without safety equipment.

“I don’t know if I would die if I fell,” one of them says as he tries to get down from the top.

Their actions have been branded as "reckless in the extreme" by pier bosses.

Meanwhile they also recorded footage of each other performing somersaults on the trampolines, and trying out the Wild West themed shooting gallery.

The show-offs posted a video on YouTube as the Flip Twins, and have also broken into other sites including water parks and the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.

As they left the site they were challenged by a security guard, who asked them: “Are there any more of you?”

They are then allowed to leave, and say afterwards: “They had no idea we were in there the whole time, they let us out with no problems.”

Footage appeared on the YouTube channel on Tuesday this week, where two youngsters start by saying: “We are going to Brighton, we are going to see some of the boys, we don’t have anything planned yet.”

They said: “A few years ago we climbed under the pier, and this year we got in the paper for that. It’s the most disgusting thing, it’s so rusty. It was probably not worth it to be honest.”

The Argus:

After going around the attractions and triggering a security light, one of the group gives his “approval” for a friend to climb the rollercoaster.

At one point, a boy believed to be Alex says: “I could’ve went there boys.” He comments on the grease on the ride, then says “sketchy this is”.

The Argus:

Below, his friends sarcastically say: “Do you think you are cool? Do you think you have got one up on us or something?

“Do you think you are an urban explorer, you are not. You are just dangerous. This is reckless behaviour we don’t condone.”

When getting down, Alex asks them: “Wait for me, in case I actually fall.” They tell him to be careful.

Brighton Palace Pier chief executive Anne Ackord said security guards called the police after the warning lights were triggered.

In a statement she said: "We were aware of this video when it was first published. As shown our security lights came on and the night team called the police as per our policy.

"The security team were awaiting the arrival  of the police when the intruders came to the gate .

"It is incredibly dangerous to climb on the rides as they did, they could easily have fallen and been killed.

"It was a huge risk and reckless in the extreme."
