A BURST water main caused traffic chaos on the seafront yesterday morning.
Engineers from Southern Water repaired a six-inch pipe on Tuesday night on the A259 Brighton Road at Lancing.
The repair was complete by yesterday morning but temporary traffic lights remained in place while workmen fixed the road
This caused problems for motorists during rush hour – with some drivers reporting delays of up to an hour.
A Southern Water spokesman said: "We understand this can be frustrating for road users and would like to apologise for any delays."
