A DRUGS gang was caught after one of their number was seen dealing in the street.

Jarryd Smith was stopped in Seaside in Eastbourne and arrested by officers.

It led them to a property nearby, where three other members were found.

Police say that Geovanni Biggs, Tamer Bodur, and Kaysham Williams were also charged with the offences.

The gang was involved in selling both heroin and crack cocaine in the town.

They were jailed when they appeared at Lewes Crown Court this week.

Police say it was a “painstaking” investigation to bring them to justice.

Unemployed Geovanni Biggs, 20, of Denzil Road in Willesden, and sales assistant Tamer Bodur, 20, of no fixed address admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

Jarryd Smith, 28, of Highdown Lane in Sutton admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.

The trio were jailed for three years.

Meanwhile student Kaysham Williams, 18, of no fixed address, denied being involved in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

He was found guilty and sentenced to four years in prison.

Detective Inspector Gavin Patch said £1,495 was found alongside the drugs, and warned dealers that the full extent of powers under the Proceeds of Crime Act would be used against them.
