A BALACLAVA clad burglar carrying a metal bar entered a house before being disturbed.
Police were called to Tilgate Way in Crawley at 3.45pm on Wednesday after neighbours reported a man at the front door of a house. A resident arrived home, and saw the suspect run off down Garrick Walk.
The would-be thief had rummaged through the property, but nothing is believed to have been taken.
He was 5ft 11ins, medium build, wearing a black Adidas top and black Adidas trousers, with Nike trainers. He also wore a woollen mask and black rubber gloves.
Anyone who saw what happened, or who has any CCTV which may have captured the incident, is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or call 101, quoting serial 898 of 05/09.
