THIEVES broke into an estate agent and a flat on the same day and stole electrical goods.

Police were called after the early morning break-ins in Hove between 5.30am and 6am on August 24.

An iPad Mini and a black briefcase were taken from Elliott’s Estate Agents in Queens Parade, while a Toshiba laptop and speakers were taken from a flat in Wayfield Avenue.

There were also two attempted break-ins at houses in Holmes Avenue at 6.30am, police say.

Now police have released CCTV images of two youths who they would like to speak to in connection with the alleged offences

One is white, aged either 15 or 16 and wore a dark blue hooded coat with a yellow emblem. He wore black trousers, white trainers, and carried a rucksack.

The other suspect is also a teenager of similar age, who wore glasses, a black hooded top, black trousers, and carried a large black satchel.

Detective Constable James Botting said: “We are linking these burglaries and attempted burglaries which all happened in the same area at a similar time.

“We would like to hear from anyone who recognises the youths in the CCTV images or has any information about these incidents. Please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or call 101 and quote incident reference 530 of 24/08.
