A RELATIVE of The Queen was killed alongside her daughter in a tragic car crash during a holiday in South Africa.

Louise Sword, 53, and her 13-year-old daughter Tabitha, of Lurgashall, West Sussex, died on August 10 after their SUV crashed with a Mercedes near Zinkwazi.

Ms Sword, who ran a trouser boutique from her home, died in hospital, while Tabitha died at the scene.

Louise was also travelling with her husband Alistair, 53, and son Benjamin, 11.

The father and son were cut free from the SUV and then airlifted to Lenmed Ethekweni hospital.

Ms Sword’s brother Timothy Taylor is married to a cousin of the Queen, Lady Helen Taylor.

He works as an art dealer and manages a gallery near the Connaught Hotel close to Hyde Park.

Lady Taylor was a fashion ambassador for Giorgio Armani for 17 years.

She is 42nd in line to the throne. They have four children, Columbus, 24, Cassius, 21, Eloise, 15, and Estella, 13.

The family were returning from a safari trip when the Mercedes hit them head on. They were travelling back to Durban.

The Mercedes driver, a 60-year-old woman, died before paramedics arrived.

The woman reportedly swerved across the road before the crash.

They were all believed to be wearing seatbelts at the time, an inquest heard.

Ms Sword studied at the University of Exeter and had lived in Singapore.
