Glenn Murray believes Albion have grown up as a Premier League team.

Now he wants them to keep using those lessons to pick up more points.

Murray believes the more naive Seagulls of this time last year might have failed to pick up a point from the four games they have played this time around.

Instead, a win over Manchester United and a comeback draw with Fulham have left them with four points as they prepare to return to action at Southampton.

Asked by The Argus whether Albion have moved on from last season, the three-goal top marksman said: “Without doubt. I think the Manchester United game and Fulham, at this stage last season we possibly would have lost.

“I think we’ve learnt a lot of Premier League know-how and how the game is played at this level.

“To hold on to the Manchester United win and the tricks of the trade as in stopping play every now and again when they’ve got momentum and recognising those stages of the game as a team, it’s priceless at this level.”

Murray could have increased competition and support up front in the near future as he shoulders the bulk of his side’s goalscoring responsibility.

Albion have tweeted photos via their official account of Florin Andone, the striker signed this summer but yet to feature due to injury, in training with the caption: “Another step closer.”
