MORE than 250 people attended an open day offering education as a route to recovery from mental health challenges.
Southdown’s Brighton and Hove Recovery College held its autumn term open day at the Brighthelm Centre in Brighton.
They were able to find out about the free courses on offer and also talk to peer trainers.
Manager Lynsey Herman said: “The day was a chance for people to meet our Recovery College team and find out about the courses and workshops available.
“With empowerment and learning at its core, the college is all about supporting people to be in control of their life despite their mental health challenges rather than focusing on the treatment of symptoms.”
