Saltdean Lido Dog Swim

Saltdean Lido, Saltdean, Sunday, September 16

Everyone loves a swim don’t they? And you know who really loves swimming...dogs. Ever since returning the Saltdean Lido has been a favourite across the summer months. Now the warm weather is slowly disappearing, so it’s time to allow our canine companions the chance to have a paddle. The dog swim is a family favourite event that takes place before the pool closes for the winter. Bring your fluffy pups and let them swim to their heart’s content. You can even bring a picnic and sit on the grass, or even go for a dip yourself if you so choose. This is a fun day out for the whole family.

Horrible Histories

The Capitol, Horsham, Saturday, September 15

Horrible Histories was the quintessential read for any child growing up, making you feel like you were learning history while laughing your head off.

In another great show to take the kids to, Horrible Histories are offering two shows on the day.

You can either take a trip to see the pyramids in the Awful Egyptians, or visit Henry VIII in the Terrible Tudors.

Friendsfest

Preston Park, Brighton, until Sunday, September 16

So no one told you life was gonna be this way.

Your job’s a joke, you’re broke and your love life’s D.O.A.

It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear, when it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year, but...not to worry because Friendsfest has you covered.

This is a must for any fans of the classic sitcom as all the features of Friends come to Brighton.

Hang out in Monica’s apartment, chill at Central Perk, and spend hours debating with your mates whether Ross and Rachel were on a break or not.

Living History Day

Arundel Castle, Arundel, Sunday, September 16

With live combat training, arts and crafts and plenty more on offer, you can pop down to Arundel Castle to help them celebrate their 950th anniversary. A building steeped in nearly 1,000 years of history, Arundel Castle is always a family favourite day out. The Raven For Living History Group will be in attendance to recreate scenes of the men and women who lived in the 12th century, when the castle was first constructed. For any history lovers this is a great day out with plenty of fun to be had...if the sun stays out that is.
