SALTDEAN Lido closed its doors last week as a scorching summer draws to an end.
But these pooches were allowed a final swim to cool down over the weekend as the Grade II listed lido held its popular doggy paddle.
Tickets for the event, which took place on Saturday and yesterday, were sold out.
Dozens of hounds were taken as a treat by their owners and queued in their masses, eager to dip a paw.
Deryck Chester, from the Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company, who took these pictures, said the weekend proved a huge success.
The dog paddle was the idea of Julie Shepherd, the company’s director.
Deryck said: “It has proved to be a really successful event and this one was more popular than last year. We’re going to make it an annual tradition, I think. It’s a nice way to round of the season.
“Julie is the brains behind it – she’s doggy-mad herself.
“There are lots of dog lovers in Brighton so we thought it’s a very Brighton thing to come up with this madcap idea.”
